discovery

As an adult you discover and gain knowledge on many things throughout the course of your life.
Both positive and negative.
Some take years to learn and master and others only take a split second to realize the knowledge they need or want then they face it head on.

Correcting your negative discoveries is the hard part.

Such as: You discover that you are suddenly overweight.  Correction on this topic takes months and for some, even years to master.  And some yo-yo between 5, 10 or 20 pounds forever, making clothing an impossibility to master b/c how do you ever know what fits and when?

Or perhaps you discover that you had a fabulous group of friends that was always around to support you, comfort you and entertain you...and one day you take note that while the friendship is still there it isnt really there.  How do you remedy that situation?
Sure, your life is completely different in every way since you met them and you are a lot busier after work and on weekends (with work) than you ever were before, making it much harder to see them.
It breaks my heart.  Truly breaks my heart.
I miss them more than they will ever know and I hope that things can be patched up before its too late.

wanky shit demon

Please visit this site and see one of the funniest things to come out of Great Britain in a long time.

Warning - It involves shit and wank (as you may have guessed) and it is totally not appropriate for children of a normal nature.

Please enjoy.

I bring you the Wanky Shit Demon.

we've dropped the deuce

Well, not in the way of the bathroom.

Jeff and I hit our two year anniversary today.
Technically this is our two year sex-iversary but that is private information so sssshhhhhhh don't tell my grandparents.  And since its a sex-iversary we celebrated last night by having noisy 'the kids aren't here' sex right in the family room.  It was stellar.

Ah, yes two glorious years ago we took the plunge and decided to be together.  Best sick day I ever took.
Then it got awkward when his mom found a condom in his laundry basket then I made it even more awkward when I was drunk one night at the bar and brought this up to his mom.  Yeah.  What else would happen when you are drinking with your boyfriend and his mom?
Sure, bring up sex with her son and condoms.

Seems natural.

Either way, she still likes me and thinks I am a semi-normal person on typical days.

Yeah, we still do the nasty.  We even bump uglies from time to time.  I just try to not talk to his mom about it anymore, especially when I am drunk.

But on this, our two year sex-iversary, I would like to say that I love you.  Even when you snore.   And especially when you take care of me.
Oh yeah.  That was in italics.

Thank you to my personal giant for a fabulous two years with many more to come.

Freakin Delicious

Seriously.  These are the best damn things I have snacked on in a long time.
I have only tried two of the three flavors but I am already smitten.
Go out and pick up a box or three.  You will not be disappointed!

10 recent updates

1.  Last Saturday was the overly cheesy and commercialized Valentine's Day.  Our friends invited us to join them at La Scola Italian Grill.  And the best I can say about it is that my glass of wine was divine and the company was spectacular.  The food was eh, which means that I will never go back there.  In order for me to drop $20 per entree the food needs to be satisfactory enough that I would return on my own accord.  There are plenty of other Italian restaurants in the greater Toledo area that I would rather visit.
Plus it really still looks like Damons in the building and I spent most of dinner trying to find the 60 inch tv so I could watch sportscenter and play trivia.

2.  One of my dearest friends (who I have never met) has just recently lost her grandma.  She is one of my dearest friends because we have been email buddies for over 2 years and she lives in the sunshine state so I have never met her.  But we trade emails religiously and keep each other updated on our comings and goings.  I don't know what I would do without her sometimes.  Her advice has helped me through many rough patches through the years.
She is in my thoughts and daily prayers currently and I hope that she, and her family, will pull through and remember the life they celebrate with joy.
Remember those you love and let them know that they are in your heart.

3.  I think that Clementines are just about the best fruit ever.  They are compact, sweet, not messy at all and seriously delicious.  But since they are so small I seem to think that I can eat more of them without it being an issue.
I had 7 of them yesterday.
In half an hour.
At least it was fruit and not candy bars or something equally as nutritionally void.

4.  I love my new car.  I am still getting used to it in certain ways but I love it.

5.  If I could have one secret power I think that I would want to be able to hear other people's thoughts.  It would be such an easy way to keep on your boss' good side, never say the wrong thing and know what people are really saying about you.  I could also get used to flying and being able to control objects with my mind.

6.  February is almost over.  Where the hell did it go?  Feels like it was Groundhog Day just yesterday and all of a sudden March is here.  Lent starts next week and while I am not Catholic and don't ever feel the need to give up anything during lent and avoid a Big Mac on Fridays I do like to attend church more regularly during the Lenten season.
Man, this means that Easter is charging up on us too.  Before you know it tomorrow will be July 4.
This makes me feel old.

7.  There are two warehouse type stores in the area...we have had Sam's Club for a long time and a few years ago we acquired a Costco.  I have been a Sam's member for as long as I could drive and now I have been getting a hankering to join Costco as well.  Ah, I don't know.  I think that I am going to take a trip to Sam's today on my lunch break and see if I find any deals that are too good to pass up.  If it is a ho-hum trip then Ill consider joining Costco this weekend.  I am a bargain shopper by nature and even though I don't stock up on 15lb. containers of Mayo I do enjoy filling the freezer with delicious beef.  I wonder if Costco has a day pass or anything...I would love to just mosey around and see which store I like more.  Which one do you like more?

8.  Last fall I won a trip (that I didn't even enter to win technically) but nevertheless, I won.  The trip is for 3 or 4 nights (I forget now!) at The Naples Bay Resort.  It looks sublime and I cannot wait until we take our weekender trip to Naples to relax and leave our troubles behind.  Plus the resort looks freakin amazing!

9.  If I hear the Taylor Swift song Love Story again within the hour I just may kill someone.  Good song if heard once or less per day.
Horrible song if heard more than 6 times per day.

10.  Since my surgery I haven't been able to partake in one of my favorite night time snacks.  Gumballs.  I am a gumball freak.  I have been seriously jonesing for a gumball.  Hopefully my throat returns to its normal state soon.
