new from nerd village

1. There are only 167 more days until Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out in your local theatre on July 17, 2009. Yes, I am totally one of those people who would dress up in my Hogwarts robe with my wand at the midnight viewing. Only I seem to have misplaced my wand during my last move and wearing the robe without the wand in hand just makes the whole thing silly.

2. There are 293 long days until New Moon, the second movie in the Twilight series, comes out. I have already expressed my geeky 16 year old girl love for this series. Enough said.

3. I am a total coupon clipper. I know that saving money isn't stupid but I am completely dedicated to the saving of the coupons. It has almost become an obsession. I have my nerdy file folder just for coupons and they are separated by store and type. It is much worse than I am really letting on but at least I am saving around 25% on each grocery bill.

4. For the longest time I have wanted to have a movie marathon day...not in the traditional sense, I want to watch a movie with many sequels.
Only I cannot decide for the life of me which movies I should watch. I always get to the point where I am about ready plant my ass on the couch and intake mass quantities of food and diet coke but I am always stumped about what to view. I always end up trying to decide between Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and The Matrix. I battle with myself over this for about 30-45 minutes typically and then I give up and watch Love Actually or Pride and Prejudice again and try to set myself up for next time. I tell myself it wont happen, since I planned ahead, but I inevitably change my mind before then and fuck the whole thing up.

5. Cars are expensive. This is not my cup of tea at all. After 11 long years of no car payment my first payment was just taken out of my checking account. I feel like there is a hole in my chest. Or at least in my pocket and all of my spare money just fell out and I will never recover it.
I hope that Jeff likes ramen noodles because it looks like we are eating cheap the next few weeks. Peanut butter and jelly will be our splurge...along with macaroni and cheese...oh yeah, we are back in college now. I have taken to eating whatever i can from the work kitchenette. Hey its free and if I don't eat it, it'll just go to waste. My breakfast this morning was a piece of cheesecake. Then I made myself feel guilty about increasing my waste line and I chased it with a bowl of Kashi oatmeal, sure to clear out the cheesecake. They cancel each other out.

Hahaha, you are too funny! by the way, my recommendation for the movie marathon is Star Wars. I'm dying to do this myself. I keep telling Jeremy I want to watch them all in one weekend starting from Episode 1 and going through the end (so in the correct order). One day I will do this!!!! I have done it with the Matrix and that was fun!
